GRI offers special support to companies in the global supply chain on how to prepare a sustainability report. Learning Services assists in creating and developing a variety of projects linked to the supply chain and sustainability reporting to meet specific training needs.

GRI has worked on projects around the world to help large companies to reach SME suppliers everywhere. Please find here information on some of our recent programs.

If you are interested in working with GRI to create a sustainability training program, please contact us at smeandsupplychain@globalreporting.org

The Global Action Network for Transparency in the Supply Chain offers all companies a proven way to engage with and improve their suppliers through offering GRI-certified training and support to teach suppliers to monitor, report and drive their own sustainability performance.

The GRI/GTZ Transparency in the Supply Chain project worked over two years with four major corporations and twelve of their suppliers across six countries to train the suppliers to prepare and complete a GRI G3 sustainability report.

Overall sustainability reports provide an incomplete picture of supply chain performance despite the importance of the issue. GRI formed an international multi-stakeholder Working Group which is tasked to develop recommendations on how to enhance the G3 Guidelines to improve the quality of disclosure on performance with respect to supply chains.
