With a new year underway, GRI is advancing its mission to enable organizations to unlock positive change. Through a wide range of tools and resources, the global leader for sustainability reporting is expanding its support in 2025 – including growing the educational curriculum, bespoke services for reporters, and more exclusive opportunities for GRI Community members.
Recently launched and upcoming key projects and initiatives include:
- Reporting services: Following the launch of the GRI-ESRS Linkage Service, new resources are under development to help companies to meet their disclosure requirements and offer guidance on the linkages with other standards.
- GRI Academy: Supporting sustainability professionals all around the world, over a dozen new courses launched in 2024, and almost 5,000 people participated in training. Roll-out of the ESRS Professional Certification Program, a comprehensive curriculum on the new EU standards, continues to gather pace.
- Certified Training Partners (CTPs): this network of training organizations around the world delivering GRI licensed courses has expanded its reach to over 50 countries.
- Licensing: 2024 marked a record of 100 GRI Licensed Software & Tools Partners. With the pivotal role of technology in advancing reporting, the program will continue to promote and support the accurate use of the GRI Standards through digital tools.
- GRI Community: after impactful initiatives such as the pilot program on GRI 101: Biodiversity 2024 early adopters, this global network will be offering learning and knowledge-sharing opportunities focused on the new Climate Change and Energy Topic Standards, to be released in 2025.
GRI’s wide-ranging services and programs provide essential expertise to help companies achieve accurate, high-quality and globally comparable sustainability reporting. With diverse new offerings and opportunities to support seamless reporting, GRI is reinforcing its commitment to be a catalyst for a sustainable world.
