Transitioning to the GRI Standards 2021

In October 2021, the revised GRI Universal Standards 2021 were launched, to improve the quality and consistency of  sustainability reporting as well as how organizations use the  Standards to disclose their impact. The Transition course provides an overview of the updates to the GRI Standards, including the revision of the  Universal Standards series, and the release of the first GRI  Sector Standard for oil and gas. The course explains why the  revisions to the Universal Standards took place and how the  revision process was concluded.

The course is intended for seasoned sustainability professionals who are familiar with the GRI Standards, and its purpose is to give a high-level overview of what has changed in the revised Universal Standards 2021.

Describe the new Guidance to determine an organization’s material topics

Pre-requisites

Knowledge of the structure and application of the GRI Standards, as well as practical experience with sustainability reporting using the Standards is recommended.
