GRI pays tribute to former chair of the Corporate Reporting Dialogue

GRI was saddened to hear of the recent death of Ian MacIntosh, who served as chair (2017-2021) of the Corporate Reporting Dialogue (CRD). Alongside the other standard setters and frameworks who participated in the work of the CRD to strengthen cooperation and consistency in the corporate reporting landscape, GRI engaged closely with Ian during this period.

All at GRI who worked with Ian MacIntosh were saddened by the news of his passing. As demonstrated by his time leading the Corporate Reporting Dialogue, he was deeply committed to improving collaboration between the key disclosure initiatives at the global level. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”

Jack Ehnes, Chair of the GRI Supervisory Board

During a long career in accountancy and standard setting governance, Ian held leadership roles with the International Accounting Standards Board, the Australian Public Sector Accounting Standards Board, and the UK Accounting Standards Board, among others.

Initially launched in 2014, the CRD concluded in December 2021, when four member organizations announced they would be consolidated into the newly-established International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Since March 2022, GRI and the ISSB have coordinated standard setting activities through a Memorandum of Understanding.
