SDGs podcast series
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established by the United Nations as the ambitious roadmap towards a sustainable future for all.
In our latest podcast series SDGs: The rising tide, we examine some of the biggest challenges in reaching the Global Goals by 2030 and the existing solutions to address them. Hear some of the most prominent sustainability experts from both private and public sectors share their views and experiences on reporting on the SDGs and why it is crucial to reaching their sustainability goals.
Each of the 17 episodes is dedicated to one Global Goal, and we are also including an additional episode - or episode zero - to help set the stage and add historical background to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Check this page regularly for updates as new episodes are being released every two weeks.
Our thanks to the Government of Sweden for supporting this project through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
Episode 1: No Poverty
Is focusing on poverty alone enough to eradicate it by the year 2030? Anders Gerdin, Programme Manager at Sida, and Zahid Torres-Rahman, co-founder of Business Fights Poverty, advocate for a more holistic approach, insisting that achieving SDG 1 is about working together on the underlying issues that cause poverty in the first place.
